The engineers that designed the GMT800 were really thoughtful. Lots of space and the intention for owners to be able to service with basic hand tools. We swapped the radiator, serpentine tensioner and belts with relative ease thanks to the engine bay layout.

Which is amazing since new trucks are larger and taller, but have less space under the hood? 🤨

I used to have an IPad flushed in the cabinet but it wasn`t the greatest efficiency tool and I think it`s a bad idea to have a device with a lithium ion battery enclosed like that. I have a Maus fire suppression stick there but I don`t think it would extinguish thermal runaway and I did charge it on a timer so it would only charge a couple hours every day.

Found the trend of electronic calenders (which is still a tablet) but the O.S. is designed with efficiency and task management. Picked up @cozyla_calendar because it`s Android based, works with my Google home, streams music to my @sonos ARC and has no subscription. Has no battery and a simple powerful way to automate the home for lists, chores and entertainment.

This one was fun. Replaced the factory amp with @jlaudio_ MX500 4 channel setup up as a 3 channel to drive the front stage through passive crossovers and the tailgate dual voice coil sub woofer. Used the head unit to drive the small speakers in the rear and sliding door and used capacitors to filter out bass frequencies. It`s really clear on the factory speakers and very robust and compact.

I`ve installed these @dormanproducts 800-409HP fittings from @lordcoparts on 4 trucks in the past 2 weeks and absolutelyove them. They look fantastic and won`t blow up when old like the O.E. ones. If you have a GM truck, you need these.

Range Rover Sport getting a dash camera. These are one of those vehicles you don`t want to the "cheapest tech" to do the job due to disassembly required to run the wire into the tailgate.

I always hate how my chemical cabinets get so disorganized 2 month after organizing. Had black acrylic strips cut by @robertsonplastics and double sided taped them to hold in place. Just file the edges so they`re not sharp.

Everything stays in place.

The daily driver is your most important vehicle. Was chasing a misfire so decided to give this 25 year old engine some attention.

Removed the injectors and had them tested and cleaned at @nwfuel. Retaped the harness with DEI Engineering cool tape and TESA for heat rejection and a barrier for rodents.

Intake manifold sandblasted and @cerakoteceramiccoatings by @_69garage.

New @ngksparkplugsofficial Iridium plugs, wires and Hitachi ignition coils. Topped it off with brand new sensors from @gmparts_acdelco to ensure accurate readings for the computer from @lordcoparts

Runs as good as new.

This was done at a very credible shop and an honest mistake. The service advisor however didn`t seem to care to look or that it happened a year later (I will try to speak to the owner). Kept getting a misfire code and an erratic idle.

I paid the shop because I wanted to save time and quite frankly thought they would be better than what I would do. The excess slack was placed near the EGR pipe. The fix is to use the factory mounting holes with aftermarket wire holders, wrap in DEI heat wrap and mount on a small bracket to hold the wires away from the EGR.
