I don`t know why this took me so long to add to the shop. Having gauges of different types just helps with accuracy and workflow efficiency. And these things are cheap on Amazon.

It is waaaaay cheaper to upgrade your head unit and update the audio in a truck that is paid off vs getting an $80,000 truck that fundamentally does the exact same thing. The factory screen died in this truck, so an update made the most sense.

This one is cool. Used @kenwoodcaraudiocanada with @idatalinkmaestro and @garmin_audio to get full factory integration and a few extra features the factory head unit didn`t have, like a front camera and wireless Android Auto/ Carplay. I also mounted the JL Audio amp in place of the factory amplifier and just used the stock speakers and cross over the speakers at the amplifier and head unit as well as using time alignment. Simple, sounds better than before and is reliable.

This one is so simple and nerdy but satisfying. We have a 25 year old Pontiac Montana and all the parts aren`t as available as back in 2001.

The rear blend door stopped working. Found a part that fits but was binding and doing the opposite. Easy to take apart, reversed the polarity of the motor with the worm gear and re-clocked the gear to line up with the rear deflector without binding. No part hunting or reprogramming, just an analog solution.

@officialmopar puzzles. Make sure you`re aware of all the filters, like the crankcase filter in a @cummins under the valve cover.

Promasters are pacackaged pretty tight compared to a pickup, but they are designed to be serviced. Unfortunately the radiator let go at under 120,000km and we had to swap it.

I love the heat pump in the shop, but the metal screen doesn`t filter the air much. I asked @techy.guy.vancouver to design and 3D print an adaptor the matches the contours of the interior air intake so we can take a @knfilters filter from a 4th Gen GM F-Body.

I chose the Camaro/ Firebird filter because it`s the most rectangular air filter in automotive world I know of. Got it from @lordcoparts. Now it filters air better and I can use off the shelf car parts and not super specific filters.

Josh and his team at @autotech.alignment.inc always do fantastic work. What I like about Josh is he takes the time to listen to your goals and consults what will and will not work so you understand the limitations of the suspension and what is best for you and your vehicle.

The result is predictable and reliable solutions. If you ever need chassis work and getting things dialed in, this is the shop to go to.

I wanted more lift but trying to keep the factory geometry and not over extend or compress the shock due to the lift. The truck got @bilstein ride adjust set to the second lowest setting and @readylift upper control arms (to compensate for lifted geometry) and their 2.25" lift spacers. I dropped the front differential 1" to keep the CV axles from binding.

Because the Bilstein is on a lower setting, it has really good droop travel and we`renot preloading the spring much, and we put @energysuspension bump stop pads to prevent overextending on droop and @timbren_industries SES springs to help with weight of trailers but this also prevents compressing a lot. It`s a nice ride on the street, will deal with service roads easily and can handle weight of trailers in the front hitch.

Finished up the more braking and handling upgrades. Used @gmparts_acdelco severe duty rotors (higher carbon content), matched with @akebono_aftermarket performance pads. In the rear added @timbren_industries suspension enhancement springs to work in conjunction with @roadactivesuspension and finished it off with @bilstein 5160`s to control the rear axle and looks cool.

Half tons are sprung pretty light and with a 400 lbs canopy it eats into the payload capacity. I ordered the spacer kit so the Timbrens are engaged all the time. Slightly more bumpy on little things (needs to break in) but handles way better and soaks up larger imperfections really well like rail road crossings.

@versafel_systems was due for a brake service. We upgraded the fronts with @lordcoparts extreme duty rotors due to their higher carbon content and proven track record in emergency vehicles. We matched with severe duty pads from @raybestos_brakes severe duty pads. Grinded and cleaned all the mating surfaces, greased and back on the road.
