This one turned out really well. Started with a 315,000km Nissan 300ZX. Full tune up with new fuel filter, crank angle sensor plug, fuel injection cleaner and oil change to get the car running smoother. Also all the grounds for the electrical system were upgraded.

For functionality a new head unit with phone connectivity and backup camera, dash camera and LED light conversion for exterior lights.

Now we have a fun to drive, unique vehicle at a fraction of the cost of even a FT86.

Stage 2, reinstall the newly adapted and "upgraded powertrain harness back into the truck. This way the performance shop can focus on the transmission swap itself.

I`m leveling up my OCD @versafel_systems! Had to remove the powertrain wiring harness to adapt plugs to a doner harness for our 6 speed auto swap. Thanks to @lyonsautocraft for the guidance and who will be doing the actual swap with @lifewithapeperoni.

I had to repin a few wires so everything cab communicate, decided since the whole harness was out, reloom anything damaged and triple layer the tape:

1st layer- 3M Super 33 electrical tape
2nd layer- @designenginc Cool Tape
3rd layer- Exterior @tesa tape

Also redid all the ground terminal rings because the wire is exposed and they were corroded and twisted all the sensor wires to help reduce and/ or remove inductance.

Goal is to reduce heat exposure for durability and keep the resistance in the wire at a minimum to help stabilize voltage, help amperage flow and maintain sensor accuracy.

It`s crazy what a few subtle aftermarket parts and new wheels will do to modernize a truck and we`re spending less than $30,000 including the price of the truck.

This Ram gets worked a lot, so we elected to install @bddieselsolutions transmission cooler bypass which ensures we have maximum flow of fluid to the cooler. If you decide to do this mod, consider really cool climate areas you might not want this product.

Fixing and modifying sensor plugs is necessary to keep vehicles going. Fixed a 36 year old Nissan 300ZX with a @z1motorsports plug due to corrosion in the female spades of the plug for the crank angle sensor. Fix a temperature plug on a 2024 Denali due to rodent damage. Then extended the air intake temperature plug on a Chrysler 300S because the new intake tube was putting tension on the wires.

Oil catch can install in the 300S. Helps keep the intake clean and units with dip sticks make it super easy to spray @seafoamworks through the PCV system.

Unfortunately this wasn`t caught during the inspection and this used vehicle was sold with the wrong size brake rotors.

We sourced from @lordcoparts and installed the correct diameter using Zimmerman rotors with @akebono_aftermarket Euro pads.
